Rocky Bay
In 2009 AHG handed over a cheque for more than $120,000 to Rocky Bay to assist with the organisation's care for Western Australians with disabilities. The annual AHG Rocky Bay Charity Golf Day, held at the Joondalup Resort on March 13th, raised $120,982 towards the cost of establishing a service centre in the southern suburbs for the organisation. Previous AHG golf days have helped Rocky Bay establish respite care facilities, carers' aids and an interactive experience centre for its youngest clients. Rocky Bay chief executive officer Michael Tait said the money raised took the total commitment from AHG to more than $700,000 in the past six years. The 2010 Golf Day will be again held at the renowned Joondalup Resort & Country Club and will be held on Friday 19th March 2010.
