Recreational 4WD Training Course

If you're under 25 years old and you purchase a new or used 4wd from any AHG dealership you will also receive 2 FREE vouchers to our Recreational Four Wheel Drive Course. The course is designed for all types of four wheel drive vehicles and will help you to familiarise you with your new vehicle in actual off-road conditions.

The Recreational Four Wheel Drive Course covers:

	The characteristics of Four Wheel Drive vehicles
	Vehicle recovery techniques
	Sand obstacle negotiation
	Ideal wheel placement
	Handling rough terrain
	Correct gear selection and when to engage 4wd
	Experiencing stall out and stall recovery
	Completing ascents and descents
	Negotiating humps and ditches
	Responding to transmission wind up
	Practicing environmental consideration

The course runs for a full day and each voucher is valued at $275. Participants are encouraged to bring their own vehicle, but a loan vehicle can be provided at an additional cost. Participants are required to have either a current, full or probationary licence. A certificate will also be issued upon successful completion of the course.
